Find two consecutive whole numbers that the square root of 134 lies between. I know that the square root of 134 is 11.57583 and i know that one of the consecutive whole number is 12 but i can't figure out the second one

OpenStudy (mathmate):

You could also work the other way round, which is most often done: \(11^2=121\) \(12^2=144\) Since 121<134<144, we know that the square-root is between 11 and 12.

thank you so much
