When we want to "solve" for an other variable, we will treat the other things apart from the "h" as just normal numbers, and then isolate it it on one side of the "=" sign. \[A=\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }bh\] is also: \[A=\frac{ bh }{ 2 }\] multiplying both sides by "2": \[2A=bh\] and then divide both sides by "b": \[h=\frac{ 2A }{ b }\] and isolating the desired variable, is what we call "solving for..."
