Help answer question please? (: Does the function f(x)=x^2-2x+2 have a minimum or maximum value?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First find the first derivative of the function \(f(x)\)..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would this be maximum?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It has a minimum value, because when you graph it, it opens upwards and never stops.

OpenStudy (raden):

f(x) = ax^2 + bx + c its kind are have maximum value if a < 0 while it have minimum if a > 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks guys :)

OpenStudy (owlcoffee):

Any function with the form ax^2+bx+c will have a parabolic form, wich can represent only a maximum or a minimum value.
