I REALLY need help with understanding the book "Okay For Now" by Gary Schmidt!! Someone please help me!! I medal and fan!!!

So here is my problem... I haven't exactly fully read the book "Okay For Now"... I read soooo many internet articles on it to learn it without having to read the book, because I honestly do not have one speck of time to read such a big novel. (I'm 13) Before you say "JUST READ IT!" I wanted to remind you that I have been struggling with algebra, having to use my time for tutoring, dance, friends, school, and family. I'm a hard worker but I really need help just this once!

So I need to know what the climax of the story is. Can someone explain?
