OpenStudy (dedi):

Which process is involved in an exothermic reaction? A)returning energy to the environment B)taking energy away from the environment C)storing energy in the bonds of a substance D)increasing potential energy in a system

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Hmm, definitely not D, as potential energy decrease in a exothermic reaction. It can't be storing energy...as it releases energy..

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

A or B?

OpenStudy (dedi):

I guess A

OpenStudy (dedi):

idk is it a?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Hmm, the wording is kind of confusing me, but I agree with you. I think it's A. B is actually describing a endothermic reaction, when you TAKE energy from a enviornment, you are absorbing it.

OpenStudy (dedi):

thanks
