Alright, well, that's where the argument comes to place.

Put yourself in the students place. If you're late to school, it obviously affects your attendance and it goes on your record and then for your future, education wise, colleges and universities see those records.

Put yourself in the school's place. Having that policy gives them a sense of power, of the students and the teachers, as well.
