The word ensemble is an English word borrowed from French, based on the French word meaning "together." In which of the following sentences is the word used incorrectly? A. The string quartet is a popular ensemble, and it always plays at graduation. B. Michele wore a perfect ensemble every day, and she was voted "best dressed." C. The four actors in the award-winning drama were a powerful ensemble. D. Acting independently of others, the country demonstrated the power of working in an ensemble. Is it D?
sorry, idk :/
this one is tricky definitions: 1.a group of items viewed as a whole rather than individually 2.a group of musicians, actors, or dancers who perform together.
i would go with d as well, it says "acting independently of others"
i agree because something that is whole shouldn't be acting independently
good job :)
