what is the slope for the equation -1/2x-y=3/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, we want y to stand alone, so we switch the 3/4 and y, leaving us with y = -1/2x-3/4. In a linear function the number before x is the slope, in this case, it's -1/2.
