Which word correctly completes the sentence? Jake didn't feel __________ , so he left practice early. A. well B. good
It's not so hard when you think about it...
Which do you think?
A
Yeah what do you think it is
Yes, A would be correct. :)
Well ''In Jakes perspective'' Means he wasn't up to practicing anymore. And ''Good'' In his perspective is like having someone ask you if you were feeling good enough to practice. It would be kind of weird if he wasn't feeling good ''like saying this too your coach'' (Hi coach I am not feeling good enough to do anymore practice today mind if I leave early'' (Coach) Are you sick? (Jake) Yeah very much, but the question only gives to answers so I guess I feel like I am not good to play at practice today. Can I leave early? (Coach) Jake. The word would be (Well, you were not feeling well enough to play at practice so you wanted to leave home early) If you said you were not feeling good enough, that would be like saying that you do not have courage or you feel that the you are not good enough for our team, or if you are sick, ''Only a 3 or 4 year old would use the word good instead of the word ''Well''. ''Like dada I am not good enough to pway at preeshool today can i weave early?'' get it son? (Jake) Yeah thanks coach. But my stomach is hurting and I feel really un-well. Can i leave yet?
Get it yet? This question seems easy, but there is a lot more to it. But if you ever run into something like this again, the main idea of it is ''Word choice''. They were basically asking you to see if Jake was good enough or well enough to practice today.
If it were you in jakes position what would you say to your coach? Jake seems like he is sick ''Meaning he is not well in health'' It doesn't look like he isn't good ''Meaning he feels like he isn't good enough for the team or if he really is sick his word choice ( What words he uses when he is talking to his coach) would be bad. If you wanted to use the word ''Good'' The question would sound like this. Hi Coach i'm not feeling to good today, mind if I leave early?
