Math is so confusing ;-; please help

OpenStudy (bibby):

break it up and work on it piece by piece Five times the difference of a number and two is seven more than that number ``` Five times ``` how would you represent this?

OpenStudy (bibby):

alright no response, I'm gonna go for like 5-10 minutes to check something out. good luck

@bibby 5 times would be represented with 5 * ... I think the equation for this would be 5* (x -2) = 7 + x but I don't know if that's correct and if it is I don't know how to solve it....

OpenStudy (bibby):

5*(n-2)=n+7 5n-10=n+7
