IM DESPERATE PLEASE HELP ME Matt is constructing two similar triangles for an art project. The drawing below shows Matt's plans, but there is an error in his drawing. What changes would he make to the dimensions to change the error? Explain your reasoning using complete sentences.
I only checked that side though, so you have to find the scale. One side should be off
I dont know how to do that, can you direct me. please.
If the triangles are similar, than: AB*s = DE AC*s= DF BC*s = EF s = 1.666 repeating
I checked all the sides, and one side is off. Can you find it now that I gave you the scaling factor?
I can try. hold on.
Is it AB=DE
Actually I think is is AC and DF
Yes, for some reason, I thought was 1.6, but I was wrong
hold on
7.5 / 4.5 = 1.6666 10.5/7 = 1.5 9/6 = 1.5
So yeah, side AB should be 5
So I was right at first.
I found the factor of side AB at random as a example, but that was actually the bad side, haha
Thank you, could you help me with another Ill open a new question so you could get another medal.
sure
Ill tag you in a second
Wait but how would I change it to fix the error?
@larryboxaplenty
Change side AB to 5, so that AB*1.5 = 7.5 (5*1.5) = 7.5
Thank you
