I have a question regarding Romeo and Juliet. I have to write a paper on which character(s) are ultimately to blame for the deaths of the lovers. I'd like to know what your opinions on who's to blame, whether it be the duo themselves, or someone from either household. I personally think they are to blame for their own deaths because of their rash decisions that lead to an untimely end. But I'd still like a second opinion.

My opinion: Their families are what drove them to do what they did. In the story, juliet was only faking her death at first to be with Romeo. The families, although they hated each other, should have let Romeo and juliet be together in the first place and not let their feud interfere with their childrens lives.
