$$10^4 $$ is greater than $$10^3$$
Do you know why?
OpenStudy (ybarrap):
Remember that
$$
10^4=10\times 10\times 10\times 10\\
10^3=10 \times 10\times 10
$$
Now can you tell which is bigger?
OpenStudy (ybarrap):
Notice also
$$
10^{-4}={1\over 10\times10\times 10\times 10}\\
10^{-3}={1\over 10\times10\times 10}\\
$$
Now which is bigger.
Understand this rule and you'll have your answer.
