Your realized income is $2,943.20/month. How much are your fixed expenses each month? How much could you save per month if you take 25% of your discretionary monies and put it in a savings account? The fixed expenses each month consists of 985.64 + 58.30 + 154.00x2 + 180.00 + 128.40 + 55.00x4 = 1880.34. The amount set aside per month for property taxes = 684.80/6 = 114.14, and 330.00/4 = 82.50 set aside per month for insurance. The discretionary monies per month = 2943.20 - 1880.34 - 114.14 - 82.50 = 866.23. 25% of this discretionary money is 866.23 x .25 = 216.56.
