ok, but there are two voltages and two resitances. i get V=IR. don't understand how it works in this instance

the more the resistance the more the voltage drop is

basically 10 Voltages are dropped between these 2 resistors

the bigger resistor will have a larger voltage drop proportional the resistors

ok, how do you know it's 10 voltages dropped?
