remember y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant find the y intercept

@mathsciencehistory

OpenStudy (igreen):

@mathsciencehistory That is irrelevant to this case.

OpenStudy (igreen):

That is point-slope form. \(y - y_1 = m(x - x_1)\) Where \(y_1\) is the y-value of the point, \(x_1\) is the x-value of the point, and \(m\) is the slope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok yea i didnt know im not good at slope but i do know the formulas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would x-6?

OpenStudy (igreen):

No..

OpenStudy (igreen):

Look at the point (2, 8) 'y1' is replaced with '8', so replace 'x1' with 2.
