help me pls will medal and fan How does the mitochondria help to maintain homeostasis for the cell? It helps the cell to move. It extracts energy from food for the cell. It controls the growth of the cell. It regulates the temperature of the cell.

OpenStudy (javk):

the mitochondria is the power house of the cell, that is where the energy is taken from the food and converted into a more useful form of energy for the cell. Say you have a microphone and you need to plug it in to a socket, in order to make it work. Now you can't make it run on batteries, can you? same way energy stored in a glucose molecule isn't useful for the cell so the mitochondria in the cell converts it into a more useful form of energy ATP.
