What is the formula fro finding the slope of a line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need two points to do this (both on the line) which will look like this (x1, y1) & (x2, y2) slope (m) = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THe points are: (6,2) and (4,-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope (m) = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2) so your slope would be (2+2)/(6-4) so 4/2 or 2 hope this helps!

Thanks! Helps a lot!
