Can a child lack knowledge of religion if it's parents refuse to bring up the subject of the matter to it

both parents have not have any type of faith whatsoever
so the child will grow up as all do
will the child most likely become like its parents

Most likely, the child would be raised that way, and would become like it's parents, yes.
But of course at some point in its life, the kid would start to wonder and question things. It's all a matter of whether or not he or she would choose to be completely open-minded or not.

In the Gospels Christ say's "you must hate your father, mother, brother, and sister to follow me". The meaning of hate is just separate, and this Gospel is meant for the polytheistic of the time. Of course it also can to pertain to anytime in which one is raised in a family with no religion.

and separate may mean in a spiritual manner, then follow Christ saying in the Gospel of Mark "pick up you cross and follow me". I find many Christians today not following this, choosing to leave their life behind and never really looking at their past.

Well if that child were to die today, they would go to he ran because all children are to young until, you know when you like an adolescent because you have known that God is your one and only, and you have accepted him. But for children they don't know the concept of God so they would automatically go to Heaven, idk if that makes sense to you... :p

If you follow the 5th commandment, honor thy father and mother, you may come to understand what they were battling and what forces they may have been under. Under you're adopted position you may affect them even after death, but as always salvation comes from the Lords and what influence one may have been given in this world. God and Heaven are not concepts any more than evil influences, these are experiences of previous generations and still exist today. As adults we may learn them as concepts, ideas, but the reality is what's in the world is truly unknown.
