giving medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the relationship between the two parts of the nervous system? (2 points) The central nervous system controls thoughts and feelings while the peripheral nervous system controls movement. The peripheral nervous system transfers impulses to and from the central nervous system, where the information is processed. The peripheral nervous system carries information into the body while the central nervous system carries signals to the muscles and glands. The central nervous system processes information and stores memory while the peripheral nervous system controls hormones and feelings.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well thank you!

OpenStudy (kitkat101):

let me reread the choices

OpenStudy (kitkat101):

i did a little research and this is what i understood:The central nervous system (CNS) controls most functions of the body and mind. It consists of two parts: the brain and the spinal cord. The brain is the center of our thoughts, the interpreter of our external environment, and the origin of control over body movement and Some of your peripheral nervous system (PNS) is under your voluntary control - the nerves that carry instructions from your brain to your limbs, for example. As well as controlling your muscles and joints, it sends all the information from your senses back to your brain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C?

OpenStudy (kitkat101):

the CNS is consisted of the brain and spinal cord, the PNS is the peripheral nervous system which is an "extension" for the nerves in the spinal cord. for example : the soma (bodies of neurons) of peripheral motor nerves give rise to the axons (that compose the PNS) are found inside the anterior gray horn of the spinal cord. so to sum it up: the CNS and PNS are both made from neurons (nerve cells) , they both need the help of glia cells to function correctly, they are both connected and the PNS is the extension of the CNS which connects the CNS to the somatic tissues (muscles, glands ...) which would make c be correct

OpenStudy (kitkat101):

that better?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is c

OpenStudy (kitkat101):

correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was actaully B but thanks for the help

OpenStudy (kitkat101):
