can you tell me what is supplement and complement cuz im in 9th grade and i forget stuff

OpenStudy (openstudyrocks5*):

Exactly equal in size and shape. Congruent sides or segments have the exact same length. Congruent angles have the exact same measure. For any set of congruent geometric figures, corresponding sides, angles, faces, etc. are congruent. Got that from online.

http://www.mathopenref.com/anglesupplementary.html Go here for supplementary

OpenStudy (funnyguy2):

this is easy, but this time i am not going to be as helpful

OpenStudy (funnyguy2):

i prefer this hyperlink: http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/complementary-angles.html

OpenStudy (funnyguy2):

this is a very good source, so i hope you can figure it out

OpenStudy (funnyguy2):

i have to go to history now

OpenStudy (openstudyrocks5*):

@iGreen !!

OpenStudy (igreen):

Complementary angles add up to 90 degrees.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Supplementary angles are angles that add up to 180 degrees.

OpenStudy (igreen):

So subtract 90 from the angle to find the complementary angle and subtract 180 to find the supplementary angle. @OpenStudyRocks5*

OpenStudy (openstudyrocks5*):

90 - 52 = 38

OpenStudy (igreen):

Correct, that's the complementary angle

OpenStudy (openstudyrocks5*):

180 - 52 = 128

OpenStudy (igreen):

Correct.

Thank you
