challenge 1. how many pennies can fit inside the cylinder? cylinder d=6 h=11.5 r=3 pennies d=0.75 h=0.061 okay so i started with the cylinder: v=4/3(3.14)(3^3) v=4/3(3.14)(27) v=339.12/3 v=113.04 now the pennies: a=(3.14)(0.375^2) a=(3.14)(0.1406) a=0.44 now i subtract? 113.04-0.44=112 pennies will fit in the container?

OpenStudy (<3meggann<3):

i believe you divide

okay so 113.04/0.44= 256 so thats how many pennies fit?

OpenStudy (<3meggann<3):
