Expand (2x - y)^4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Equation: \[(2x - y)^{4}\]

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

\[(2x-y)^2(2x-y)^2\]\[(a-b)^2 \implies (2x-y)^2 = 4x^2-4xy+y^2\]

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

So essentially you're just multiplying \[(4x^2-4xy+y^2)(4x^2-4xy+y^2)\]

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Alternate way is to use binomial expansion theorem by using pascal's triangle

@Jhannybean - Do you know how to use Pascal's triangle?
