please help me! no answer, please step by step. Which numbers are solutions to the inequality x < −7, using the replacement set {−15, −10.5, −7.2, −7, 0}? Choose all answers that are correct. A. –7 B. −7.2 C. −10.5 D. −15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which ones are greater than -7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

none

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, do you have any idea on how to solve I will help but do you know how to do this at all

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

you want the ones that are less then -7

OpenStudy (igreen):

^^^^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exactly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 0

OpenStudy (igreen):

{-15, -10.5, -7.2, -7, 0} All numbers less than -7 here.

OpenStudy (igreen):

0 is less than -7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry i forgot we are dealing with negatives

OpenStudy (anonymous):

change all of the answers to positives

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

keep in mind, negative numbers are a little bit different. With positive numbers, the bigger the number is, the greater it is. With negative numbers, the bigger the number is, the smaller it is. Does that make sense ?

OpenStudy (igreen):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then change the equality to x> 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so all but A.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i get a medal?
