A six sided die is rolled. What is the probability that an odd number is rolled? 1/3 1/4 1/6 1/2

sorry for the last one i put it in wrong

1/6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got it it was suppose to be 1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so a six sided die has number from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Odd numbers are 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc. If it ends in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9, it is odd. 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 are even.

The ratio of odds to evens on the die is 3/3. So, if you want to know how many odds there are, there are three of six. 3/6 simplifies to be 1/2. @LGumboymath234
