At times I feel like this voiceless murmur.
Like no one actually cares what I say,
So they just nod their heads
As if paying attention.
But in all reality they couldn’t care less.
They’re just being….polite.
Being kind to the nascence I am.
I’m socially awkward
And I much prefer people online than in real life.
I think it’s because were all real.
As fake as a screen may seem
We’re not afraid of it.
And in real life we’re all a little afraid of each other.
So now we can be true to ourselves
Seeing that were not alone
While still feeling extraordinary.
So instead of always feeling voiceless
And powerless
And just less in general…
I don’t have to feel like that all the time.
Not anymore.
