What equations should I use to argue that LEO orbits are worse then GEO orbit for satellites?
equations for geo stationary and powered orbits, right?
Geostationary orbit and Low Earth orbit. Im using the Escape velocity formula, orbit velocity formula, and \[F=GMm/r^2\]..but Im not what I should argue aka what they are proving.
those equations will allow you to calc certain mechanics of these orbits such as orbit speed etc but those i would argue those are effects and not causes. ie the reason to pick one or the other would have more to do with things like being constantly over a given region (geo) eg to provide satellite tv. that creates latency problems however which would not be very good for high speed broadband. i doubt you could run an effective gps from geo stationary. you need loads of satellites to cover the earth and get good download speeds. also you will get drag in leo so you need a thruster to keep speeding the thing up again. you cannot do that purely from solar, you need an actual engine. picture resolution for spying? hope that does not muddy the water too much.
