The frequency depends on how fast the object is vibrating back and forth in a given amount of time. \[\color{green}{\text{frequency} = \dfrac{\text{number of complete vibratrions}}{\text{elapsed time}}}\] The amplitude of vibration depends on the amount of energy provided to the vibrating object.
