In which of the following bonds does nitrogen carry a slightly negative charge? M:\Summer School and Full Year Assessment Development\Science\Chemistry\Formatted Docs for Full Year\Polar and Non Polar q 5 image.jpg Select one: a. N-N b. N-C c. N-O d. N-F

When Nitrogen has the higher electronegativity, it will have a negative charge.
(highest electronegative) F> O > N > C (Lowest)
N-C bond is the one in which nitrogen carries a partial negative charge while the carbon atom carries a partial positive charge. I hope that helps.
