when it says "hermes would be proud" what does that mean???

OpenStudy (jojokiw3):

Hermes is a mythological god in Greek culture. He's more or less a messenger.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Hermes is the greek God of travel, jack of all trades, kind of guy. But one of his primary positions and roles is being a messenger for the Gods, and so when you send a message, it is kinda a humorous joke when they say "Hermes would be proud"

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Figurative language.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Banana language

So basically, I think that since Hermes is a mythological god in Greek culture/a messenger... that he's basically proud of the technology today/how we send messages.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Hehe you could think of it that way? Haha

FULL QUOTE \(\normalsize\color{gray}{\rm Message~successfully~sent.~Hermes~would~be~proud.}\)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Don't know why it is like that, but I haven't really thought of thinking (lol) about this.

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

Do they not teach mythology in middle school anymore?

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

I learned about mythology during my freshman year...it's not in middle school anymore, I guess.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
