What is the circumference of P? Express your answer in pi.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the formula for circumference if D*pi. since ab is the diameter, youre supposed to multiply by pi. however, if your trying to find te answer in pi form, all you would have to do is simply have the answer be 20 pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do I multiply 20 by 3.14?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not necessary, because youd just have to divide it by 3.14 and end up with 20 again. so the answer should be 20 in pi form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have another one!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dw:1426853237589:dw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply 3 by 2 to get the diameter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and that is your answer in pi form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6 pi?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the length of AC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and AC has the little arch above it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yay these again lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahah im sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25.133

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would hope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was wrong :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theres another one the exact same except AB=12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait. are they supposed to be in pi form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. dang it!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you shouldve said it lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry that was my fault

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my mistake as well lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well to find the regular length of it, do 2*3.14*6*1/3rd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 11.3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

check if that's right I don't have a calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you shouldve gotten 12.56

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but then to put it in pi form, divide by 3.14 to get 4 pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is 4 pi?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem. any more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you remember the one we started the other day but never finished? I can draw it again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dw:1426854622760:dw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ADB also has a arch over all letters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hate this with a burning passion lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do I haha. you don't have to help me if you don't want to its okay!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i want to , of course lol. its just that this one makes no sense! lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know. I don't understand either. At the bottom of the problem is says AC is a diameter and angle APB is a right angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is made way more difficult than it needs to be. are you typing in the answer or are there choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to type in the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i honestly dont know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its okay!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any other ones?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think that's it for now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dang it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dw:1426857222234:dw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pi form for circ.?
