I WILL MEDAL & FAN YOU , PLEASE HELP The amount of money a plumber charges when visiting a home to make a repair is shown by the linear equation c = 135 + 52h, where c is the amount the plumber charges and h is the number of hours spent at the home. How much does the plumber charge when h = 3.25?
Do you know how to substitute?
You put in the 3.25 in for the h. So your equation now says c = 135 + 52(3.25) Multiply 52 and 3.25. Then you need to add 135. That is your answer.
@logan100
So , 1,524 ?
thats what I got when I multiplied and added @DIDITHEDAD
Let me double check my work are see....
ok
Okay, you are wrong. You need to multiply 52 and 3.25. What is the answer of this?
THEN add that answer to 135.
@logan100
I got 169 & then when I added 135 I got 304 .. sorry I did something wrong
I got 607.75. I took the original equation 135+52 and got 187. Then multiplied 187 times 3.25 and got my answer.
No problem. You must have added first, then multiplied. Just remember to do it in order. So your final answer should be 304. Nice job! MEdaling you!
