Even though they were highly influenced by Egyptian culture, in what ways were the Kupelletes able to hold on to their own political culture?

The Kuhsites/Nubian's had a long history long before they fell under Egyptian influence going back to the ancient city of Kerma because they had this long history before Egyptian conquest they were able to simply take what they needed from Egyptian culture and adapted it to suit there own culture.

The tradition of strong female rulers and the Nubian pyramids have a clear Kupellete imprint.
