Can you check our math answers please!! @Phonecian

We have a new student who did this and isn't very god at this. She thinks her answers are right, and we keep telling her they aren't. We are not trying to be mean to her, but she isn't listening and is putting our grades in jeopardized. Please check them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is a few more if you would PLEASE (we are begging on our knees) check them all.

Yunno its almost the end of the school year in 2 more months so we are trying to get as much a's as possible.

I'm not exactly sure why I was called specifically, but sure, why not. Here are the following steps. 1. The formula of a circle. A=πr^2 Area equals pi times the radius squared. 2. Substitute. The radius is half of the diameter, which in this case is 24 centimeters. The radius, 12 centimeters, squared is 144 centimeters squared (remember to square the units too!) multiply 144 by (22/7). With the decimals rounded to the nearest ten's place, our answer is... 452.57 centimeters squared!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The second problem was done wrong however. The radius is already given to you, so you take 14, square it, and multiply it by Pi. You should get (14^2)(22/7) = 616 inches squared

ok.

Now these ones she said she think she got wrong so we are all here as a group willing to see.

I've actually got a loooot of homework to be doing, so if it's ok with you guys, I'm just gonna verify the answers. All of these problems should be doublechecked using the formula! The formula is never wrong! 3. C 4. B Now for problem five, you solve for the surface area of a cube. This is fun. (I'm not lying...much.) The given length is 4.5 centimeters. A cube's length is consistent with all of its sides, which means all the lengths are 4.5. The face of a cube is a square, and the formula for solving for a square's area is L^2. that would be 4.5^2. There are 6 faces on a cube, so take that product and multiply it by 6. so that's 20.25 x 6! The total surface area is 121.5 centimeters squared! You should double check, because I might have made a simple mistake somewhere in there!

ok lol thanks for the help:))
