What is proper action to do in the certain circumstance below? There is a game which is named 'osu!' and it is styled as such. However in English grammar we capitalize the first letter of a sentence so what action would be proper here? Ex: osu! is a great game. Osu! is a great game.
Is there answer choices? :)
Okay lol.
There are none, just something that I am wondering about.
Well since it is the name of the game it would be the second one because it is proper.
@KittyPretty is right
The game styles it as osu! though.
it is the second ex.
Osu! is a great game.
Can you explain why the second one is correct?
True, but in English grammar we HAVE to capitalize the beginning of the sentence and we HAVE to capitalize proper nouns.
it has a capatial letter and correct puncuation
How come we do not follow that ruling for Greek letters with English additions? Ex: \(\Lambda\) ... \(\lambda\) ...
I don't know, good question, maybe because our generation hasn't been taught Greek letters.
And the generation before that, any more questions?
kitty is right but were also not greek
However I am not asking about Greek?
we dont use greek letters
Maths and science articles do.
Yeah because they have studied it.
any more questions
I suppose a follow up question would be something so is stylization completely ignored? Say there is a company named: yHome We would overwrite the stylization with Yhome according to you correct? So rather than yHome is a awesome company, it would be Yhome is a awesome company?
yes
correct
Yeah exactly
However that makes no sense (though I wouldn't be surprised), I thought stylization is kept, but noted with delimiters. What is the purpose of stylization then?
good question but im not sure
