Identify a writing situation in which you might want to use a slow pace. What would you do to create a slow pace? What would be the effect?

To create a slow pace, I personally would go into more detail about the surroundings and the characters thoughts and feelings. It would kinda create the effect of time slowing down so that you could fully observe your surroundings.
