1/2 is equivalent to 3/6 multiply top and bottom of 1/2 by 3 to get this
so asking "Which number is halfway between 1/2 and 5/6?" is the same as asking "Which number is halfway between 3/6 and 5/6?"

So do I have to change every answer choice to /6?
not quite, we can reduce the result to get to the answer

then you reduce 4/6 to get 2/3 notice how 4 and 6 have a common factor of 2 the common factor of 2 will cancel which is why 4/6 = 2/3
