Jared opposes offshore drilling while Samantha favors it. Jared says that in the long run, we will run out of oil, so it is best to start looking for alternatives now. Samantha suggests that offshore drilling will help us reduce our dependency on foreign oil. With which of the following would both Jared and Samantha agree? Dependency on foreign oil is not a bad thing. We must be careful that drilling for oil doesn't hurt the environment. Higher gas taxes will reduce our dependency on foreign oil. We must find a way to become less dependent on oil.
