OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the general structure of lipids?

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

CH chains

OpenStudy (matt101):

Usually CH chains BUT with an acid group (COOH) at one or both ends. Although this isn't always the case (e.g. cholesterol and related molecules are considered lipids, and these molecules are composed of a series of carbon rings).

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Lipids don't have a general structure like other macromolecules (e.g. DNA, protein) do.
