Hi Welcome to Openstudy! Do your question based from a story or an article? Can tell us who are "they" in the questions? Maybe just provide us some more information so that we can help you. Thanks! ^_^

Is this for an essay or something? What do you think? You won't be able to back up anyone's opinions but your own!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe that the after life is in heaven, that is, if your a christian. If your not, then your damned to hell.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I believe that the afterlife could either be your "peace" (heaven) , your "punishment" (hell) , or your "stuck" (the spiritual realm/spirit world). I really don't know what to tell you because I don't understand your question and it all depends on who's POV you speak of since there are lots of religions in the world and we must respect their pov in the subject. Anyway lol good luck on this! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh and to answer your first question. I honestly haven't read the bible very well but I have read many other religious books and I have come to the conclusion that it depends on your religious beliefs. *Personally* I believe that afterlife no one will ever truly know what it is until they get there. Other religions otherwise but either way its okay what you believe and have fun researching this and maybe even other religious povs. :)

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

It depends from the perspective. Some believe in reincarnation as well. You question is a little vague...

Rapture, in my experience, is a mainly Christian concept. It is what the devout believe to be God taking the believers to Heaven, or the afterlife. Afterlife is a mostly religious concept that one will "meet their maker" or become one with that entity. If someone believes in the rapture, they most definitely believe in afterlife.

I believe when we die, there is nothing else, we are gone. I think of it like a candle, when it goes out it doesn't reaper some were, it is gone. Also, when we die out brains shut down, so how could we keep living if we are unable to function with out a brain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Though logically accurate, Reptile_Girl777, the concept of rapture or afterlife is a spiritual connection. Though physically one would be dead, a person who is spiritually connected believes that their soul would live on. There is no proof or way of testing that any of us have souls, however we do have a conscious, which can be interpreted as we have a soul. The soul is not connected to the body when we die, and continues on to another life after this. At least that's what a Christian believes. Though your logical outlook on the subject is agreeable you must look at all the perspectives.
