Explain the Relocation Act. Who created it and who enforced it?
indian relocation act of 1956 or the removal act of 1830?
I'm honestly not sure.. That is the exact wording of the question on my paper. We are learning about Manifest Destiny, so I think it is the Indian Relocation Act.. But don't you mean 1856 or am I wrong lol?
oh idk i looked up both and read about them and i could have sworn it said 1956 but im not sure
oh okay, i'm probably wrong then haha
actually i think it's talking about the removal act
yeah because the removal act had something to do with the removal act.
wow that was embarrassing i meant the removal act had to do with manifest destiny
lmao its fine
okay so president Andrew Jackson signed this into law on May 28 1830 it was basically an act that allowed the exchange of lands with the Indians residing in any of the states or territories and for their removal west of the river Mississippi. It gave the federal government the power to force the relocation of any Native American Indians, living in the east of the country, to territory that was west of the Mississippi River.
