Help with understanding what they want me to do with this biology instructions for a Lab on DNA and Protein Synthesis.
When they say CGT CTC TTC GGA CAC are they speaking about- adenine,guanine,thymine,and cytosine? also how do i correspond this to the mRNA chart if they are not saying those words?
@pooja195
@InExileWeTrust can u help at all?
I can do my best, I am trying to find a way to explain this in a way you may understand.
ok :)
Okay, so for question one, do you know what pairs with what?
Cytosine pairs with Guanine and Adenine pairs with Thymine.
Great! Now pair the molecules exactly like that for question one. You know that cytosine pairs with guanine and so on so forth.
CGT CTC TTC GGA CAC NEW ROW- GCA GAG AAG CCT GTG
@InExileWeTrust
Do i now just pair that with the words for the mRNA strand?
Correct! And yes, but remember that it is slightly different, follow the instructions for question 2
so now its GCA GAG AAG GUG?
ok heres what i did :)
You are missing one last code for the second one. I only counted four translated...
so its this now :)
Beautiful! Nice work!
ok so now these questions i have to answer I'm in the process of answering will u check them when I'm done ?
Sure thing! I can do my best!
Here is the question and what I worked on together its confusing on what they are asking can you clarify? @InExileWeTrust
I can't read the letters in the photo, they look backwards and I KNOW I am not dyslexic..
hehehehe omg u made me laugh lol xD ur not its the stupid camera xD
*smiles* Okay, I was confused for a second. I literally went back here and made sure it wasn't me.
its ATC CAG TAC TAC TAG GTC ATG ATG there thats the sequence lol xD
OMG i do that sometimes with the camera like what how like what xD then u wonder how on earth the teacher grades it xD
Maybe she prints it out and then holds it facing the mirror
Ahhhhh makes sense :P
The sequence is correct, if this is supposed to be mRNA you may want to look it over. If not, you are good.
Oh so with this chart i have to write that coding strand then do it with mRNA too ?
ya its for DNA :P
No, I wasn't sure.
Okay, then awesome!
@InExileWeTrust :) Here is the questions :P
I believe the answers are correct, I am a little rusty on this aspect. You may want to verify your answers with someone else.
:) alright hey honestly thank you so so so so so sooooo much for the help it helped me understand so in the future i can 100% know what to do :) so thanks :D @InExileWeTrust
It's not a problem! Glad I was able to help!
