Need this question to pass test please help. Fan and medal Teresa drove to the mountains last weekend. There was heavy traffic on the way there, and the trip took 10 hours. When Teresa drove home, there was no traffic and the trip only took 7 hours. If her average rate was 18 miles per hour faster on the trip home, how far away does Teresa live from the mountains? Do not do any rounding

are there any choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No you put in the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok the equation is 18 x 10= 180 180/7=25.71

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so she lives 25.71 miles from the mountains

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[10t=7t+18\] 3t=18 t=6 10t=60miles 7t=42, which is 18 mph less (or faster) than 60

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, she lives 60 miles away.
