A bakery has 18 raisin muffins. There are 3 times as many blueberry muffins as raisin muffins and half as many banana muffins as blueberry muffins.
How many muffins were there in all?

Okay. So we know that there is 18 raisin muffins. there are 3 times as many blueberry ones. 18 * 3 is 54. There is half of that to equal the banannas. half of 54 is 27. So we have 18 + 54 + 27 to equal 99. 99 muffins.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so is that the answer i got that 2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
that is right @lcnettech
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i'll give a a medal
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay. I am sure it is correct.

A fruit market received a shipment of apples. The market sold them in bags with 14 apples in each bag. It sold 24 bags of apples by the end of the day. There were 126 apples that were not sold.
How many apples were in the shipment?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
14 * 24 + 126 i think. 462 is the answer I believe.
OpenStudy (lcnettech):
14*24+126=462
