Can someone rephrase this in their own words. How the cotton gin affected slavery in the United States was by, making slaves useful more than they were before. Why it made slaves more useful was because cotton was a harder cash crop. Only because little pieces of things stuck in the cotton itself, so it was hard for people to get cotton ready for the market. Therefore before the cotton gin was invented the cash crop statues were going down. So that made slaves even more essential then they already were.
The cotton TGIn was invented to stop slavery, however it backfired because cotton was now so much more easier to obtain that many more slaves were forced to work in the fields and thus expanded slavery. Cotton was able to be produced faster and the demand for slaves increased as cotton became known as WHITE GOLD.
