If u = <-7, 6> and v = <-4, 17>, which vector can be added to u + 3v to get the unit vector <1, 0> as the resultant vector?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

id start by adding u + 3v to see waht we have to work with

OpenStudy (amistre64):

u = <-7 , 6 > +3v = <-4(3), 17(3)> --------------------- so, -7-4(3)+a = 1 and 6+17(3)+b=0 solve for a and b
