Think about it again: some of these are COMPONENTS of an introductory paragraph, making B incorrect. That would be the purpose of the hook, which is part of the introductory paragraph.

There is a main purpose. For example, a sandwich can be made to look good, but that's not the purpose of the sandwhich. It's purpose isn't exactly to be eaten, either. Its main purpose is to feed your hungry belly.
