Wind causes erosion in numerous ways: 1. at the shoreline, wind causes waves which contributes to significant erosion 2. winds blow storm systems across land which creates rainstorms that cause significant erosion 3. wind itself is erosive by applying stress to weakened and loose materials 4. wind blows sediment into Earth material, causing abrasion and other types of impact erosion
