OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

Hmm okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pretty sure like the last one you equal them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And then you find x

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

(3x-36)+(2x+26) need to equal 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh my bad

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

So 3x-36+2x+26=180 5x-10=180 5x=190 x=38

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

Do you understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I get most of it, but I feel dumb for asking but why does it have to be set to 180?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean equal to 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@alexrobin13

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

Forgive my old trig knowledge, but I believe since the two lines are parallel their angles must add together to equal 180.
