Please help?? I am trying to figure out this for almost half an hour. The student council set a goal of raising at least $500 in flower sales. So far it has raised $415. Part A- Write an inequality to show how many more dollars,d, the student council needs to reach its goal. (PLease EXplain how you got it.) Part B- Graph the inequality on a number line.

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

So the goal is 500. And you only have 425. What you need is 500-425 then. So 500-425=x

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

Now since it's an inequality you need to decide do I need more or less than 75 dollars to achieve the goal. (500-425=75)

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

So which is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is not 425 it is 415

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you used 425

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

Okay sorry but you get the point.

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

So do you need more or less than 85 dollars?
